Are you a young person between 18 and 29? Do you live in one of the municipalities in the Skopje Region? Are you eager to learn new things and get civically engaged? If so, we have an exciting opportunity just for you!
About the Initiative:
"Spotlight on My Future" is all about empowering youth like you to make a real impact in your community. With the Law on Youth Participation and Youth Policies (LYPYP) in North Macedonia, young people have the chance to get involved in shaping public policies. However, there's still a lot of work to be done, and that's where you come in! 🌟
Our goal is to boost youth participation in policymaking and ensure your voices are heard. We’re organizing three amazing educational modules to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to advocate for yourself and your peers, after which you will monitor how your municipality works and includes youth in the decison making processes for 3 months. By joining us, you'll learn how to use democratic tools, submit civic initiatives, and hold local governments accountable. Finnaly, we will host a closing conference to showcase your findings in November!
What You’ll Gain:
Political Literacy: Understand the mechanisms of democracy and how you can influence it.
Advocacy Skills: Learn to create and submit impactful documents and initiatives.
Community Engagement: Connect with like-minded peers and become a leader in your community.
Fun and Interactive Sessions: Our workshops are designed to be energetic and engaging. 🎉
